heat is back on and the essential problem is understood. so if it happens again, i won't be caught in the middle of a snowstorm without heat.

winter madness must be setting in or that storm triggered latent midwestern survival instincts. it must be something, because i succombed to the hotdish today. dude. i didn't even know i knew how to make a hotdish. i don't even think i've eaten any in well over a decade... but it tasted right: cream-of-something-or-other, noodles, breadcrumbs, unidentifiable bits (meat), other unidentifiable bits (vegetable matter?), so i guess it all works out.

am somewhat frightened by all this though. what's next, an overwhelming compulsion for fried cheese curds and packers games?

need sleep.
